A Non-Governmental Organization in the name and style of SWAPNADESH is operating, under W. B. Societies Regd. Act in supplementing all sorts of Governmental and Non-Governmental efforts to impart awareness among the under privileged section of the society.

We are publicizing and popularizing the dangerous effect of disposable plastic garbage that affects the very atmosphere of our surrounding area and spreading awareness particularly regarding the poisonous effect of simply burning the accumulated plastic garbage in the open air. These issues are appreciated in the dwelling areas of the Rajpur-Sonarpur Municipality and the efforts of our organization are appraised by the local residents as well.

We are also distributing academic books to the school students of all streams. We are extending hands of cooperation to the poor families of the terminal patients of deadly diseases.

We are looking forward to work in various other fields by virtue of which we could reach out the men in destitute and enhance the awareness on different social evils.

The basic objectives of SWAPNADESH, as of now, are mainly:

a)  To disseminate the concept of Live & Let Live through mutual cooperation and self-help.

b) To enlighten the backward sections through organizing lectures, seminars, workshops, group discussions etc. with audio-visual materials and exhibitions relating to day to day problems encountered by them.

c) To organizing awareness programmes on public health, pollution, social security and       sustainable environment.

d) To impart vocational training (such as: computer operation, sewing & cutting, embroidery and nominal handicrafts etc.)

e)  To impart training on 'English' and 'Mathematics' to the needy school students.

f)  To develop a marketing system to channelize the end products of the self-help groups.
